A recent article in Insurance Journal sited that contractors are beginning to push harder for architects to consider safety in the design aspects of construction. Typically this maintenance and construction are aspects that have been totally overlooked by architectural designers. One contractor in the article put it this way…..
“I hear a lot of designers say safety is a contractor’s job,” Gambatese said. “But what they don’t realize is they can have an effect on safety just in how they design something. It’s the nature of the industry, but things are changing.”
